A Protest Diary: Signs and slogans in four Acts

Book Design, Research, Writing, Photography
2019
Hebrew
260 Pages

The book relates to demonstrations in Israel, spanning 65 years of social and political protest. The book returns to specific historical events and rewrites journalistic text, transferring them into a poetic field. The images are my own reproduction of original protest signage, reinstalled and documented in public spaces, and echoes the reality of our life today.

Final project at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Exhibit at Uri & Rami
Nehoshtan Museum, Ashdot Ya’akov Meuhad (2019).

Hate Those Who Miss The Good Old Days

Book Design, Research
2019
Hebrew
192 Pages

The book incorporates a selection of newspaper columns by Shimon Sabar from HaOlam HaZeh [This World] (1960–1962). The columns deal with politics and everyday life in dazzling, bold, ironic, and subversive writing. The images echo the mood of the newspaper, ranging from the political to the erotic.

Part of a course at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
